Curculigo Orchioides Root Extract
Extraction: this plant, also called Kali Musali, is one of the Ten Sacred Flowers of Kerala (one of the 29 states of India) and is grown mainly in the Central Himalayas, India, Sri Lanka and Japan.
Benefits: it is rich in sugars and curculigosides (phenolic glycosides). This ingredient has traditionally been harvested for its numerous health benefits including being used to treat itchy and irritated skin, skin diseases, cuts and wounds. It also has aphrodisiac, anti-inflammatory, sedative, antioxidant and even anti-carcinogenic properties. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine for its toning properties.
