Extraction: This plant-derived hydroxyketone is obtained from wheat and rapeseed through an eco-responsible process based on renewable vegetable raw materials

Benefits: The self-tanning effect of hydroxyketone is due to the coloration of the top layer of the epidermis. Hydroxyketone reacts with amines, peptides and amino acids in the stratum corneum to generate brown melanoidins. It is a harmless and pleasant reaction for the skin that doesn't need sun exposure. It is very different from the melanogenesis phenomenon generated by UV stimulation.
