WATER

Extraction:  water is an element present in most cosmetic products and is the most important raw material. In the cosmetics industry, purified water is used in a process to eliminate any solid particle that may contain water in order to achieve a higher degree of purity and quality.

Benefits: water helps to cleanse the body. Hydrates and improves the effect of other active ingredients, provides softness and delays premature aging of the skin.

C9-12 ALKANE

Origin: A mixture of alkanes with 9 to 12 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain, obtained from vegetable origin.

Benefits: Used as a solvent in skin care products.

SILICA

Extraction: silicon dioxide (SiO₂), commonly known as silica, is a main component of sand. It is a mineral obtained via the purification of quartz.

Benefits: works in cosmetics products as a thickening agent with an amorphous structure. It is also used as an anti-agglomerate or absorbent.

PROPANEDIOL

Extraction: 100% natural ingredient obtained from sugarcane and approved by Ecocert. It is biodegradable, making it the perfect natural alternative to petroleum glycols.

Benefits: it is used in cosmetics as a moisturizing agent, solvent and emollient. Its sensory properties help reduce skin irritations. They also control viscosity.

BEHENYL BEHENATE

Origin: The ester of behenic fatty acid and behenyl alcohol. Plant-derived.

Benefits: Moisturises the skin and provides occlusive properties to emulsions, which help prevent transepidermal water loss.

OLIVE OIL Eco

Extraction: olive oil is extracted by cold pressing olives, small green or black fruits commonly cultivated in Mediterranean climates.

Benefits: one of the most well known Mediterranean oils, olive oil is known for its culinary benefits as well as for its use in skin care. This reparative oil contains a high concentration of natural fatty acids that work to combat skin dryness. It is also rich in vitamins E and K.

AVOCADO OIL

Extraction: this vegetable oil is obtained by cold pressing the pulp and pit to extract the fruit’s natural virgin oils. Is is rich in antioxidants, fatty acids, proteins and minerals and contains high concentrations of vitamins E, A, B2, B3.

Benefits: its protective and regenerative effect protect the skin from external agents. Studies have shown that it helps reduce dermatitis and to speed up the healing process. It improves the hydration of dry, cracked and damaged skin and also acts as an emulsifier.

OLIVE OIL POLYGLYCERYL-6 ESTERS

Extraction: Obtained by transesterification of olive oil and polyglycerin 6.

Benefits: It has emulsifying properties, giving the skin a smooth, non-oily finish.

OCTYLDODECANOL

Obtained from vegetable oils.

Benefits: It is a fatty alcohol that forms a protective layer on the skin, which helps to keep the skin moisturised, reducing water loss."

SUNFLOWER SEED OIL

Extraction: sunflower oil is obtained from Helianthus Annus sunflower seeds.

Benefits: rich in omega-6 and vitamin E, sunflower seed oil is used in the cosmetics industry as skin repairing agent. Prevents skin dehydration and has soothing, nourishing and antibacterial properties. It is perfect for treating all skin types including: dry, normal, oily and acne prone skin.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

Extraction: it is harvested from plants (soy or coconut oil for example) by hydrolysis of fats and by fermenting sugars. Glycerol is found naturally in skin and is considered a self-healing compound.

Benefits: it is one of the many substances in the skin that helps maintain the outer barrier and prevents dryness and peeling. It leaves skin feeling nourished and works to treat acne. It also prevents the accumulation of fat and improves the appearance of hair. Vegetable glycerin can be used as a diluent and as an alcohol substitute when preparing herbal extracts.

MALTODEXTRINA

Obtainment: His sugar is obtained from starch, derived from rice, corn or potato.

Benefits: It has the ability to stabilise cosmetic formulations as well as act as a link between different ingredients. It also acts as a suspension forming agent and film former.

PENTYLENE GLYCOL

Extraction: natural pentylene glycol is obtained from renewable plant-based sources such as sugar cane or maize.

Benefits: commonly used in moisturising creams and lotions for its hydrating properties, which help retain moisture in the skin. It also has antibacterial and preservative effects, helping other active ingredients act better on the skin.

SODIUM STEAROYL LACTYLATE

Extraction: Derived from the sodium salt of lactic acid and stearic acid.

Benefits: Provides moisture to the skin and allows even application.

CETEARYL ALCOHOL

Extraction: mixture of cetyl and stearic alcohols that are produced naturally in plants.

Benefits: these alcohols have the ability to prevent emulsions from separating between their oily and watery parts. These ingredients are also used to alter the thickness of liquid products, to increase foam capacity or to stabilize them.

OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT

Extraction: extracted from the leaves of the olive tree, a tree that is usually found in the Mediterranean areas of Europe and Africa. The olive branches, from where the leaves are collected, are traditionally recognised as symbols of peace.

Benefits: it has antioxidant and antibacterial properties. In the same way, it maintains the skin in optimal conditions and acts as a fragrant agent.

SANDALWOOD

Extraction: it is extracted distilling the freshly cut wood of the Santulum album tree, native to India.

Benefits: it contains large amounts of alfa and beta-santalol, molecules with antibacterial properties. It helps sooth, moisturize and regenerate dry and damaged skin leaving it feeling soft and helping to improve its overall texture. Prevents the signs of premature aging, helps eliminate scars and stretch marks, acts as a fungicide and functions as an aphrodisiac. 

RUBY RED

Obtainment: It is extracted from the root of the Alkanna Tinctoria (commonly known as a dyer's alkanet), native to the Mediterranean basin.

Benefits: This extract is used as a vegan alternative to synthetic pigments or animal pigments.

GARDENIA

Obtainment: It is a dark blue extract obtained through a process of biological fermentation of the Gardenia jasminoides fruit.

Benefits: It acts as a natural pigment, providing a characteristic blue color to cosmetic products. In addition, it should be noted that antioxidant properties are attributed to it.

VITAMIN E

Extraction: tocopherol or vitamin E, is naturally found in vegetable fats and oils, cereals, nuts and green and yellow leafy vegetables.

Benefits: it is used in cosmetics for its antioxidant properties and also acts as a skin conditioning agent. Reduces the appearance of stretch marks, helps improve skin tone, moisturizes and helps keep skin firm. For hair care, Holy Basil helps improve the blood circulation in the scalp which stimulates hair growth and helps to condition hair and provide shine.

WHEAT AMINO ACIDS

Obtained by hydrolysis of wheat protein.

Benefits: Moisturises, soothes and drains, promoting the reduction of dark bags.

GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE

Extraction: natural ester of vegetable origin of glycerin and caprylic acid.

Benefits: acts as an emulsion stabilizer and a moisturizing agent.

PALM GLYCERIDES

Obtained by hydrolysis of wheat protein: Oily liquid derived from vegetable oils.

Benefits: Used as an antioxidant, emollient and skin conditioning agent.

PHYTOSTEROLS

Origin: Phytosterols are obtained from vegetables such as soya, avocado and shea butter, which are particularly rich in unsaponifiable constituents.

Benefits: They are very similar to the skin's own sterols, which contribute significantly to the skin's natural barrier layer. Phytosterols help the skin to retain moisture.

CAPRYLOYL GLYCINE

Origin: Plant-derived.

Benefits: Provides an antibacterial function in the formula.

LYSOLECITHIN

Extraction: lysolecithin is obtained from lecithin via biotechnological processes. Lecithin is a by-product of the food engineering that comes from soybean oil.

Benefits: it is an emulsifying agent capable of stabilizing oil-water (O / W) emulsions. It allows other active ingredients to enter the skin without altering the dermal barrier’s lipid structure. It is moisturizing, nourishing and non-greasy.

PULLULAN

Extraction: natural polysaccharide produced by the fungus Aureobasidium.

Benefit: it is used in cosmetics for its powerful firming and anti-wrinkle properties. Produces a filmogenic effect, softening skin and hair.

SCLEROTIUM GUM

Extraction: it is a polysaccharide composed of glucose monomers which are produced by the filamentous bacterium Sclerotium rolfssii via fermentation processes.

Benefit: it is a very versatile ingredient that improves the texture of cosmetic products. It is used as a thickening agent and has a gel texture. It also acts as a natural moisturizer and works to soften skin.

XANTHAN GUM

Extraction: natural polysaccharide of high natural weight derived from the fermentation of carbohydrates such as glucose or corn syrup.

Benefits: it is used as a binder, emulsion stabilizer and skin conditioning agent in a wide variety of cosmetics and personal care products. 1% of xanthan gum is used for cosmetic formulations.

GUAR GUM

Extraction: extract of Cyamopsis Tetragonol, also known as guar gum. It is a legume native to Asia.

Benefits: it creates a film on the skin that prevents it from drying out, and also regulates viscosity.

SODIUM PHYTATE

Extraction: sodium salt from phytic acid, a vegetable compound found in corn.

Benefits: it is used in cosmetic products as a chelating agent to prevent the heavy metals.

ETHYL XIMENYNATE

Obtained by hydrolysis of wheat protein.

Benefits: Activates circulation, has draining activity, favouring the reduction of dark bags.

LACTIC ACID

Extraction: lactic acid is used to balance the pH of cosmetic products.

Benefits: this ingredient allows cosmetics to be milder for skin and hair.

CITRIC ACID

Extraction: citric acid is a weak organic acid found in fruits such as lemons and oranges. Lemon juice contains approximately 5-8% citric acid.

Benefits: citric acid and its salts: Diammonium, Potassium and Sodium help to preserve cosmetics since they are metal chelating agents. Citric acid and its salts are also added to cosmetics to help regulate the acid / base levels. Functions as a powerful antioxidant and helps to regulate and maintain skin’s hydration and elasticity.
